Going Solar

The installation process

Once you decide to go ahead, the path to a working system follows a clear sequence.

  1. Site survey. A detailed look at your roof, electrical panel and shading to finalize the design.
  2. Design and permits. The system is engineered and the necessary permits are filed with your local authority.
  3. Installation. The panels, inverter and wiring are installed, usually within a day or two for most homes.
  4. Inspection and approval. Local inspection and utility approval to operate must be completed before the system turns on.
  5. Switch on. Once approved, your system goes live and starts producing.

The hands-on installation is quick; the permitting and approval steps are where most of the calendar time goes, and we handle that paperwork for you.
